Your curriculum guides should look different from the ones at the school down the street. If you’re teaching is set apart, then so should your curriculum guide. Can someone look at your guide and instantly know what the telos of your school is? With a cursory read through can they detect the pedagogical principles that of a classical school? Do virtue, the transcendentals, and the ordering of affections have a home in your curriculum guide? If not, it might be worth thinking through what that could look like. Below is a sample curriculum guide we’ve landed on that aligns with our one-pager. It’s brief, not too wordy, but rich in pedagogy.
